Today marks the release of the largest and most comprehensive revision of Sonic TTH since it was in pre-release development. Every single page has been adjusted in ways large and small to create the most robust and polished version of the ruleset yet, introducing exciting new gameplay mechanics and quality-of-life features!

The High Gear Update
Formatting and Content Rework
The book has received a new look, with colored borders that correspond to the section of the rulebook you are currently in. This will make it easier for readers to orient themselves within the book at a glance.
Additional sections have been added and existing ones have been revised, clarified, and expanded.
The fonts have been changed out with new ones that match those used in official Sonic products, giving the book a more legitimate and quintessentially Sonic feel.
The book cover has been altered to include which version of the ruleset the book contains. This will help readers distinguish between various PDFs they may find floating around and determine which ones are more current.
New Rules for Vehicles
Players can now make use of a variety of conveyances to explore the world. GMs and players can utilize a variety of vehicle profiles to enhance character movement options and partake in a variety of subsystems to get the most mileage out of them.
Check out the Vehicle Sheet in the Resources section!

Added profiles to include extreme gear, motorcycles, cars, airplanes, and more!
Adjusted Race and Velocity Battle rules to account for vehicles
New Rules for Character Progression
There is now a dedicated section that outlines various ways that Player Characters can adapt and improve over time, with multiple options that each playgroup can pick and choose from to create an experience tailored to their preferences.
Included in these guidelines is a new optional mechanic that allows players to spend Rings to directly improve their attributes and skills (This is the "level up" system).
Expanded Gear Selection
Gear and its role in player advancement have been greatly clarified and expanded. Gear now has its own section in the rulebook, with dozens of weapons, protective equipment, ability enhancers, and more.
Additional mechanics regarding how gear is equipped and managed have been adjusted to facilitate more consistent advancement options
The cap for how many types of gear a PC can equip at one time has been increased from three to six.
The probability for gear loss and tampering has been adjusted to be slightly more forgiving, and certain types of gear, such as gear used to upgrade the character, are explicitly excluded from tampering.
New Encounter Types
The various rules for various encounters have been consolidated and expanded in a new section called Combat & Other Encounters.
Rules for Personal Combat have been moved here to help distinguish it from Velocity Battles and the new Vehicle Combat.
The new Quick Time Event encounter allows players to experience various scenarios in a more freeform and imaginative way than the typical structure of other encounter types.
Various Tweaks and Revisions
The description for the Resolve skill has been tweaked slightly to highlight its broader utility. It's not just the "intimidate and resist fear" skill anymore; it can be used to represent earnest and straightforward communication (think about how Knuckles and Big typically win people over).
The Know the Players subheading in the GM section has been partially rewritten to include tips for managing a wider variety of player needs.
Status Effect stacks have been explicitly clarified to go up to 3 rather than 4.
Egg Lancer has been reworked significantly, with an aim to better recreate how the boss battle from the game worked.
Shadow's stats have been tweaked to better suit his talents.
Other character stat inconsistencies have been fixed.
Additionally
Continued the forever war against typos.
The Mystery of Mirage Island has been revised and reformatted, along with new art and multiple endings!
